Summary Markets new insurance business to contracted carriers for accounts generating in excess of $3000 of Commercial Lines commission. Provides marketing advice and support to Producers and Account Executives.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties

Accumulated submission info, identifies appropriate markets and sends the account to that market. Negotiates price and terms and have proposals prepared, bound and delivered to producers. Assigns new business to others on the marketing team. Monitors progress and results of new business negotiations on assigned accounts.

 

Meets regularly with Producers and Account Executives regarding existing business and sales opportunities using the Wedge principals.

 

Regularly meets with insurance carriers marketing representatives, underwriters, wholesalers and company officials to review product offerings, to discuss individual new business accounts, and to review company production reports.

 

Consults with Producers on markets for their risks, appropriateness of coverage structure, and negotiate pricing and coverage terms with carriers.

 

Accumulates marketing information and disseminates this information to Producers and Account Executives. Collect and distribute company product offering materials to sales and service personnel both on and off site.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities                                                

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience                                               

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Property and Casualty License.

P&C Consultant’s License

 

Other Qualifications                                                 

Must have valid drivers' license. May have to travel to customers' places of business up to 25% of the time.
